Learn to Draw and Fade to Lower Your Score

When you setup to make a golf swing, are you hoping to hit a straight shot? Are you wondering if your ball will curve left or right? The pros don’t think that way and neither should you. Hank Haney is so right when he says, “Golf is what your ball does”. It is up to you to control the direction and spin.

Bubba Watson never took a lesson or hired a swing coach to improve his game. He just figured out what made the ball go straight, left or right and then applied that to every shot in his game.

Remember that famous shot where he won the Masters with an amazing 155 yard, 90 degree hook shot. He figured this out and you can too. The next time you are on the driving range why not try to hit pulls, hooks, draws, fades, slices and pushes. Once you understand what causes your ball to curve you will understand why it is so difficult to consistently hit a dead straight ball.

The slightest change in your grip, in the position of your hands ahead or behind the ball, in the line-up of your feet, the open or closed face of your club head and the position of the ball in your stance can result in a dead straight shot or a flipping duck hook.

What Causes the Direction of Your Ball?
There are 2 parts to the impact of your club face on your ball. Your swing path gives you the direction of your lift off from impact and the open or closed face of your club adds to the draw or fade rotation of the ball. Many trainers including Michael Breed (Golf Channel PGA Instructor) talk about the point of impact and the action when your swing path and the square of your club are perfectly aligned.

Recommendation:
1/ There are many videos and golf lesson on the internet to tell you how to create a draw or fade. Check them out and understand where your big mistakes are coming from.

2/ Send in your swing video to www.swingbot.com for an instant FREE TRIAL analysis based on knowledge provided by Martin Chuck, PGA pro at the Raven Golf Club, Phoenix AZ and Guest Presenter on the Revolution Golf blog. Just download the app and use your iPhone to shoot the video. SwingBot sends back your analysis within hours or as fast as 15 minutes.

3/ Determine if you naturally draw or fade your ball. Understand what is causing it and then make sure that you consistently setup to create that draw or fade so that you can aim slightly right for a draw or slightly left for a fade to land more balls in the fairway or on the green.

Control your swing for a draw or fade for a more consistency in your game. If you take a lesson with Swingbot, they will also give you a $5.00 discount on the next purchase of your GOLFSTR+. Buy one today at www.golfstr.com

Control Your Mind to Control Your Game

Last week I talked about the basics of golf and left you with the missing thought: How do I maintain a Calm and Relaxed mind to execute the perfect shot every time?  It all has to do with your mind. Negative thoughts about your past failed shots will kill your game. Great golfers only focus on the perfect result that they expect. They have CONFIDENCE. Negative thoughts and doubts are banned from their minds as they prepare and take every shot.

Learn from the Best
Jack Nicklaus is one of the most successful golfers in history of this game. Tiger was about to surpass Jack’s success when his focus got disrupted. Success in golf has to be caused by your mental focus. Tiger seems to be carrying too much baggage in his mind. Jack found a way to struggle through the demons in his mind by always “visualizing the flight of the ball” before he hit it. Bubba Watson has the same skill to visualize how his swing will create the shot that he wants. YOUR MIND IS YOUR CONTROLLING FACTOR.

Ernie Els has such an effortless swing. Keep YOUR mental picture throughout your game.

Ernie Els has such an effortless swing. His transition is sooooo smoooth.  Then he accelerates his wrist release through the ball.

The swing of Ernie Els with a controlled transition and cadence is one of my favorite swing thoughts. Your mind remembers your last bad shot and your subconscious mind remembers hundreds of other missed shots. How do you eliminate your bad thoughts and only let the positive thoughts fill your mind?

1/ I have seen a lot of recent blogs which suggest that you think about NOTHING when you swing. Others talk about letting your unconscious mind take over your body.  I have tried it and it has to be a load of hogwash.

2/ If your mind is focused on the shot that you visualize, you will use the knowledge of you previous successes. Your practice with GOLFSTR+ and your practice to find the right rhythm will pay-off when you duplicate the same feeling as your past successful swings.

3/ After your setup, use a successful swing thought like: “swing from the inside” or “limit my backswing” or “shift to take a divot after impact”.  Do this with the goal to achieve a balanced finish as you watch your ball fly or roll exactly as you planned it. Do anything to prevent rushing your transition. Sing “Back and Forth” if it helps you calm down.

You may make a poor estimation for club selection, wind speed, wind direction or the slope of the green but you will hit the shot that your practice swing has prepared you to deliver.

How Can YOU Repeat YOUR Perfect Shots All the Time?
It all starts with your setup. Decide on your shot, select the right club, choose your target line, visualize the flight or the roll of your ball, make the perfect practice swing and set your club face to draw or fade or to putt up your line.

Your practice swing was perfect. Now it is time for your mind to take control. Visualize your ball flight, focus on your ball, say simple words as you swing to prevent your mind from thinking any other thought. Try using the words “Calm ‘n Relaxed” or “Sweep in and Finish” or “One Two”. Many golfers, like Ricky Fowler, are completing a limited takeaway instead of a waggle to relax their mind. Mike Weir started this and I think it gives you a great reminder for the straight arm takeaway.  Try some of these ideas as they may work for you as they work for so many successful golfers.

Whatever works for your game, don’t forget to stay focused on visualizing consistent shots to keep building confidence. Practice with GOLFSTR+ to get your practice right so that your mind controls your game. Buy one today at www.golfstr.com

Simplify Your Focus and Lower Your Score

The number one burning problem in golf is: How do I get rid of my bad shots?  A mental lapse in your swing will mess-up any shot. The professional golfers miss shots too. You just don’t see too many of their bad shots on TV because the Producers focus on the spectacular shots. The tournament leaders are in the ZONE and rarely missing a shot. Their real success is the way they recover from a bad shot. How do they just move on to the next perfect shot?

Your primary focus has to be on positive thoughts about your past successes to keep negative thoughts of past failures out of your mind.

If you have made par or birdie on a hole then you can do it again. As a matter of fact, you can do it on every hole on the course where you are playing. So what is stopping you? You need to sort out the weakness in your game and get rid of the big misses. You need a game plan:

Try this exercise to loosen your shoulders and chest for better shoulder rotation.

Try this exercise to loosen your shoulders and chest for better backswing rotation.

1/ Sort out Your Swing Before You Play: If you want to conquer this game you need to spend time at the range practicing to improve every swing in your game. Use your GOLFSTR+ to lock in the right swing: Straight leading arm backswing; smooth transition and a controlled lag and wrist release to a balanced finish.

2/ Stretch out Before You Play: Power comes from the rotation of your body and the release of your wrists. You can’t perform well with a stiff body. Spend some time before you get on the first tee making sure that your swing is comfortable and relaxed. Warm-up & stretch-out your muscles.

3/ Warm-up with a Meaningful Practice: Hit balls at the range or into a net to get your mind focused on a relaxed rhythmic swing. Hit putts on the practice green to get the feel for the speed of the greens before you play.

4/ Set your Game Plan:
a. You have 18 tee shots so land them in the fairway: If you are slicing and hooking on every other tee shot then you are not ready to play. Create a consistent draw or fad to know where your ball will end up. I like to take my trailing foot back from the target line by an inch or 2 to ensure that I will swing from the inside for a consistent draw. As my body warms up over a few holes, I minimize this adjustment.
b. Greens in Regulation are Wonderful: If overhanging limbs from trees or bunkers surrounding the green are a problem, consider the perfect layup to give you a chance for the perfect pitch shot or chip from the best side of the green for an uphill putt.
c. Almost 50% of your total score is from putting: Why not focus on eliminating 3 putt greens? Read the green before you chip on to the green to take advantage of getting as close to the hole as possible by using the break and runout on the green. After reading the green and setting up for the perfect putt visualize the line and roll of you putt which you feel will get you passed the hole by 10 inches. Make the PERFECT PRACTICE SWING and duplicate the exact same swing when you hit the ball.

None of this preparation is will help if you don’t approach your game with a Calm and Relaxed mind. We will focus on this in our next Swing Tip. Make sure that you order your GOLFSTR+ on our website. Buy one today at www.golfstr.com

Uneven Terrain will Make or Break You

Last week we listed solutions to improve your GIR (hitting more Greens in Regulation). We ended with the problem of hitting off uneven terrain. Most golf courses are setup with undulating greens and the same problem with the fairways. If you can “read” a green, you can learn how to attack the fairways when you setup next to your ball.

Last winter I ended many days (at the cocktail hour) sitting on our Lani overlooking the dogleg on a fairway which allowed me to view many golfer from behind their target line.  I could see the direction of their stance and the height of the ball above or below their feet (when they stood on a side hill lie). For most of the golfers, I was able to predict where the ball was going to fly. They would line themselves up with the green but the uneven ground forced their shots to fly left or right depending on the level of the land. It was almost hysterical to see the antics of each frustrated golfer after their perfect shots flew anywhere but on the green.

Fairways are rarely level. Using your foot wedge is not legal so you really need to adjust for the height difference from your feet to your ball

Fairways are rarely level. Using your foot wedge is not legal so you really need to adjust for the height difference from the level of your feet to your ball.

You may think that you can just drop your shoulders or stand taller or lean over to compensate for the ground height difference. Unfortunately it does not work that way. All of your practice is completed with swings on level ground so your swing is perfected for level ground hitting.  When your ball is below the level of your feet the ball will naturally slice to the right. When your ball is above your feet, you will naturally pull it to the left. (and in the opposite directions for left handed players) If you compensate by leaning forward or backward, you will most likely change your spine angle as you swing with a poor result.

Our brains are setup to balance our bodies in the upright position with equal pressure on the ball and heel of our feet. Some professionals recommend chipping and pitching with more pressure on the balls of your feet but most shots require a balance of pressure across the foot when you setup.

If your ball is above your feet, grip lower on your club to compensate for the loss in distance to the ground. Use a lower lofted club to compensate for distance you will lose as you shorten the grip on your club. A side hill lie above your feet will also force your ball to pull left (for right handed golfers), so you need to compensate by aiming to the right depending on the steepness of the hill.

If your ball is below your feet, you can bend your knees more or spread out your stance and again you should use a lower lofted club to compensate for the loss in distance as you will be losing power in your swing. [NEVER swing harder on a side hill lie as your brain will not cope well with your strange stance.]

Your Practice Swing Will Confirm Your Adjustment
To ensure that you have changed your grip or leg position sufficiently, you must take a practice swing at the tempo that you plan to use when hitting the ball. Your body is still upright but if your club is not short or long enough to connect properly with the ball, you will top the ball or hit it fat. FOR EXAMPLE: If you dig into the ground with your practice swing, just shorten your grip further down the shaft and try the practice swing again to test your clearance from the ground. [NEVER RUSH your swing on a side hill lie.]

Who said that golf was easy?  The hilly terrain was added to make this a challenging sport.  Practice with GOLFSTR+  for every swing in your game. Buy one today on our website: www.golfstr.com

Is GIR Killing YOUR Game?

If you can’t hit the Green In Regulation (GIR), you could be wasting 18 strokes per round of golf. [GIR: Landing your ball on the Green In “Regulation” is the number of strokes to land on the green and take 2 putts for par.] Every golfer would like to get 18 for GIR on every round so you should challenge yourself to improve your GIR. Your only other option is a perfect chip and a putt (and that’s easier said than done).

What’s Causing Your Misses?
Why are you missing the green on your par 3 tee shots and on your second shot on par 4 holes?  GIR for a par 5 is the easiest as you should be chipping or pitching after your drive and approach shot. Here are a number of areas where you should focus to increase your GIR.

1/ Practice on Grass: Instead of practicing on Driving Range Mats, for iron shots you should create a proper swing with a divot instead of bouncing your club off the mat. When you hit your ball off a grass surface you can see where your divot starts and the direction of your divot. Ideally your divot should start after the resting position of your ball and with an in to outside swing path.

2/ Uneven Tee Box: The tee box is the only place on the golf course where you are allowed to choose the perfect FLAT SURFACE to hit from. When you setup on a tee box, make sure that your feet are not below or above the ball. Choose your hitting surface wisely.  Move back from the tee markers (up to 2 club lengths) if you have no other choice.  If you have control of your golf swing, you have no excuse to miss the right direction on a par 3 hole.  [GIR on a par 3 should be 100% or you should be practicing with you GOLFSTR+ to get you direction and club selection right.]

3/ Hitting from the Rough: The rough typically has taller and thicker grass which will grab your club head. Every condition in the rough is different.  The pros have 2 recommendations: 1/ Accept the fact that you are not going to make the green on your next shot so hit wisely to get out of the rough. 2/ Don’t hit into the rough in the first place.

4/ Hitting from an Uneven Fairway or a Sidehill Lie: Golf courses are rated with a SLOPE based on many factors. The uneven surface of the fairways or hilly terrain is a major factor affecting the SLOPE RATING on every golf course. This is also the NUMBER ONE REASON WHY you are NOT hitting the Green in Regulation. You need to learn to compensate for the difference in height from your ball to the surface or angle of your feet.

Compensating for your stance is not as easy as you think. Your practice on perfectly flat mats at the practice range is not training you for the conditions on the golf course. Stay tuned for great solutions to solve this problem NEXT WEEK.   HINT: Compensating for height differences is never easy when your swing is perfected on level ground.

Is your Practice Hurting Your Game?

I recently received 2 interesting articles about the impact of practicing with the best results. Your commitment to practice AND practicing the most effective way, will drop your scores. Of course you need to learn the correct swing and we recommend building muscle memory with GOLFSTR+ but you should learn the best METHOD to practice?

Solution for Jordan Spieth
Jordan Spieth was struggling during the first 2 of the 4 FedEx play-off tournaments. When he missed the cut on the first 2 rounds, we were all wondering if the pressure was finally getting to Jordan.  Over the past summer he had won 2 majors and 2 other tournaments so it looked like Jordan was Tiger Woods’ heir apparent. His play seemed to be unshakable. How could he miss the cut in those 2 important tournaments?

During the Tour Championship Tournament, PRACTICE gave Jordan the advantage. He was the first player to arrive at the course on Monday of the tournament week. His caddy commented that they warmed up for this tournament LIKE IT WAS ONE OF THE 4 MAJORS. On the final day, he arrived 3 hours before his tee time for what his caddy, Michael Greller, called the “early grind. His extra commitment to practice paid off, especially with his putter. He led the field with a total of over 400 feet of putts sunk and won the tournament and the FedEx Cup worth a total of $11,400,000.

If the number 1 player in golf puts a lot of effort into his practice to win $22 Million in tournament prize money, just think what a little more of the right practice will do for your game.

B. J. Hathaway, the head pro at Atlanta Golf Instruction (Click for his blog), made a recommendation based on a study on “Motor Learning” by professors from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, who offer their research findings (Click for their sound track).  In short they found that continuously changing your club or changing your planned shot, similar to the way you play on a golf course, is the best way to improve your game and retain swing solutions.

Pounding ball after ball with the same club is not challenging your mind. They found that you need to have a plan for your swing so that it will have a greater impact on your memory when you repeat the same shot on the golf course. Your mind will retain more and focus more if it is challenged to work-out a swing problem (like: how do I draw this ball and land about 200 yards).

Are Your Clubs Killing Your Game

As we age our bodies change. Most of us are not active enough to remain as flexible and strong as a 20 year old.  As you lose flexibility and strength, your old golf clubs may hurting your game. Fortunately the technology in golf club design is improving. If you want to enjoy this game as you age, you should try out a variety of clubs to see what you are missing.

I have recently been renting golf clubs while traveling. I thought I was just saving time and energy hauling clubs around but it was actually giving me the opportunity to experiment with different clubs. Hitting balls off a mat at a golf retailer is just not the same as testing clubs on a golf course. You really should see the flight of the ball as you take your divot on real grass. These are things that you should be concerned about:

Dump your old clubs. They may be killing your game.

Dump your old clubs. They may be killing your game.

Club Weight
I had a bad experience with some heavy steel shaft clubs in Bermuda. The golf was wonderful but it took me 8 holes to sort out the problem. I just did not have the wrist strength to handle the clubs. I finally adjusted my tempo and parred 6 of the last 10 holes.

Grip
If your grips are worn out or your glove is old, you are  losing the opportunity to loosen you grip. As you tighten your grip to hold on to your club, your arm muscles tighten and shorten. This creates 2 problems. First you lose your ability to snap your wrists through impact. Tight arm muscles will also shorten your reach causing topped balls.

Another lesson learned: I tried playing without a glove on a humid day and almost lost my club in a lake as my sweaty hands slipped on the grip. That was almost an expensive mistake.

Offset Clubs:
If you are playing with offset clubs you may be compensating for a swing flaw that you have eliminated. Clubs with an offset head are like a crutch for your game. When you figure out how to swing properly from the inside, you really need to get some conventional clubs and get your game back on track.

Strength and Flexibility
As you age and lose your strength and flexibility, you should consider lighter, fiberglass, flexible, shafts for more whipping action to increase you club head speed. This solution may not be ideal for your first test because you will need to change your transition and tempo to enjoy the benefit of these flexible clubs.

Changing clubs is not an easy process. Take your time. Check out as many options as you can before you make your decision. Whatever you chose, remember to keep practicing with GOLFSTR+ and get your tempo right. Buy one today at www.golfstr.com

Golf: A Unique Opportunity for Perfection

Golf is a unique game. No other sport allows you the chance to make a practice swing using the weapon of your choice on the exact surface and grass condition where you are about to make your shot. You control your footing and you know the angle of the ground under your feet so why aren’t you taking advantage of this very special opportunity? You should be using your practice swing to achieve the perfect shot or putt. YES, WITH THE SAME SPEED, FOLLOW-THROUGH AND BALANCED-FINISH.

Often I see my golfing companions with a perfect, relaxed practice swing. Then they step up to the ball and panic. They forget to rotate their arms, shoulders and hips as they rush their arms to a minimal back swing. Then they rush their down-swing with their arms without shifting their weight to their forward foot. This sequence typically results in a topped ball and the golfer falling backwards. This is insanity.

Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting a different result.  Why not practice the right swing, hold that feeling and then duplicate it when you hit that little white ball?

Discovering the Benefit of the Practice Swing
Hitting out of a sand trap or hazard is the only area where you can’t ground your club and take a complete practice swing. This is a good example to help you understand why the practice swing is so important. That’s also why these shots are more difficult than any other shot in your game. You really should try to complete a full practice swing on the same up or down or side slope outside of the hazard before you attempt the shot.

User your practice swing to create a complete mental image of your perfect swing and just duplicate it when you hit your ball.

User your practice swing to create a complete mental image of your perfect swing and just duplicate it when you hit your ball.

Build Your Confidence before you Hit Your Ball
People panic when they step up to the ball. They see it as a crisis moment. They think, “Now what am I going to do with this shot”. WRONG THOUGHT! You need to use your practice swing to take the pressure out of your shot. You know what you want to do and where you want your ball to land so rehearse that shot before you stop forward to hit your ball with confidence.

Your practice swing has to be in the same cadence as your planned swing. You need to feel that wonderful feeling of a great practice swing before you take your actual swing. Perfect your swing before the actual swing. Get in a YOUR COMFORT ZONE before you hit the ball. Feel the tempo. Step forward and repeat that swing.

There should not be any difference in your practice swing and your actual swing at the ball. Duplicate it in order to get your body in a comfort zone. You may find it helpful to create a rhythm by repeating the same mental words in your practice swing as you say when you take your actual swing. To slow my cadence down I often use the mental words: “Straight Arm. . . Sweep in and Finish”

[NOTE: ”Straight Arm” is my last thought before I start my swing or during my waggle, “Sweep IN” during my slow backswing [to focus on an INside to outside release], “and” during my controlled transition, “finish” as I impact the ball and swing to a balanced finish.

Of course you should practice the correct swing with every club for straight arm and wrist lag with your GOLFSTR+. Buy one today on our website: www.golfstr.com

Is this a “Head Game”?

How can Jordon Spieth be the #1 Golfer in the World and then miss the first 2 cuts in the FedEx Cup playoff?  [Barclays: “worst round in years”, Deutsche Bank Championship, “terrible yet again”] We do know that he changed to a new set of clubs for the Barclays and then went back to his old clubs the following week at the Deutsche Bank. This is crazy. What is going on?

The answer is simple and we are all affected by it. When you are on a winning streak, your mind and body relax.  You find a groove that feels so comfortable. It really is your mental confidence.  There is a fine line between perfection and losing your COMFORT ZONE. When things go wrong, doubt creeps into your mind. It plays tricks on you by changing your relaxed and confident swing. The difference between leading a tournament and missing the cut in professional golf is really not a lot of strokes. A few bad shots (shanks into the rough, into the water, over the green) and your confidence is ruined.

How Can You Control YOUR Head Game?

Tiger Woods and Jordon Spieth are both suffering from Head Games today. Where did the magic go?

Tiger Woods and Jordon Spieth are both suffering from Head Games today. Where did the magic go?

I write this blog as much for my game as I do for your game. So I am always watching others messing up their shots as well as doing a reality check on my great shots and my failures. I’m always researching to find that magic that Jordon Spieth lost over the last few weeks.
Accept the fact that this is a “Head Game”. Any mental lapse in focus can and will kill your swing. I am talking about your drives, fairways shots, sand trap shots, chips, pitches and putts. Each shot is a different swing so you need to be focused on the subtle changes for each swing to ensure success.

1/ Study Golf or Take Lessons to Learn the Correct Swing for Every Club in Your Bag:  Consistent focusing on the correct swing is the only way to improve your game. If you don’t have a clear understanding about how to complete each swing with each club, you will never perfect your game.

2/ Swing Cadence, Tempo or Rhythm : When your brain is relaxed and focused, its easy to keep a consistent rhythm in your back swing and your follow through. Your perfect swing happens when you allow your club to finish the backswing without rushing the transition. If your mind takes over and you want a little more speed or power, your grip tightens, your cadence speeds up and you lose that smooth transition by rushing your swing and cutting your backswing short.  DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN!

The next time you see someone miss-hit a shotLearn from their mistakes.  Recall if they rushed or shortened their backswing or was there a whipping action at the top of the swing that throws the club out of sync with the rhythm of the swing. Was their practice swing in perfect balance but their swing (at the ball) out of balance.  Were their hands swinging faster than the motion of their body?  Do they have the effortless cadence of the Ernie El’s swing?

3/ Focus: When your clubs don’t feel right (the way Jordon Spieth felt with his new clubs) or you are distracted by anything like noise or external thoughts, your mind changes its focus and your swing pays the penalty. You need to put 100% of your focus on your correct swing and follow-through.

Avoid Thin Shots to Drop YOUR Score

We all hate to hit the occasional thin shots. Those dreaded shots where you blade or top the ball and it skids along the ground to nowhere. There really is an easy fix for this. Every professional golfer has learned it and you should too. The solution is easy but the permanent fix is all in your head.

There are 3 issues that you need to be concerned about: Your head bobbing, your bum bending and your swing on uneven ground.

1/ Head Bobbing: If your head remains relatively still during your swing then the distance from your shoulders to the ball is controlled by the bend of your elbows. A bent leading elbow will shorten the distance to the ball and create thin shots. A great drill is to stand with the sun directly behind you so that you (or a friend) can see the shadow of your head. It should not be bobbing up and down during the swing.

Swing without bobbing your head and with a straight leading arm for a consistent distance to the ball.

Swing without bobbing your head and with a straight leading arm for a consistent distance to the ball.

Train with your GOLFSTR+ to keep your leading arm straight in your backswing AND in your downswing. THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF THE SWING FOR CONSISTENT HITS.

2/ Bending your Bum Toward Your Ball during the downswing will lift your head and shoulders up causing a topped ball or slice. To get more power and accuracy off the tee I saw a simple drill by PGA Professional Eric Hogge (PGA Village, Port St Lucie, FL). He suggested putting a chair (or golf bag) behind your bum and swing by keeping your bum in contact with the chair. Of course there will be lateral movement as you thrust your hips slightly forward up the target line [but never out]. Keep your waist bent at the hips to keep your head and shoulders at the same level.

3/ Ball Above or Below Your Feet: Your body naturally tries to balance in an upright position to avoid falling over when you swing your club. If your ball is above your feet you should choke up on the club to avoid burying you club before you hit the ball. If the ball is below your feet you should take a wider stance with more knee bend to avoid topping the ball. You need to keep your natural posture with a vertical balance. In both cases you will lose distance so take a lower lofted club to compensate.

NOTE: Taking a higher or lower swing plane to hit the ball which is above or below your feet is not as easy as it seems. You practice hitting most of your shots and drives on flat ground so your mind is not programmed to accept an instant swing change. This is also why we tend to miss more greens in regulation as we are hitting from an uneven lie on the fairway or in the rough.

Always practice when you can with your GOLFSTR+ to program your mind for a straight leading arm. Get your swing rotation from your shoulders and hips not from your bent arm.

Remember to do your takeaway with both arms straight to force your shoulders to rotate before you start bending your tailing elbow to pull your straight leading arm and wrist lag to the top of your swing. Rickie Fowler even does this as his practice waggle. It works for him and it will work for you too. Buy a GOLFSTR+ today on our website: www.golfstr.com
